The 1820s Door

So you might be asking yourself:
  • What's this door's story?
  • Where'd it come from?
  • What's its name?
  • I heard Charlie Chaplain owned this door...is it true?!
Well, unfortunately we don't know the answer to any of these questions...we don't really even know what happened that night. The details are a little fuzzy. But, here's what we DO know:

We were eating a dinner of quinoa salad with two guests. After our meal, we decided to show off our findings from the Ithaca Antique Mall. We heaved the door inside the house, then blacked out.

Next thing we know...Elana is lying on her back, underneath the dining room table with a drill in her hand. #donttellchad Then we blacked out, again.

Rye's favorite meal: Power tools with a side of milk-based paint

Now the top of the dining room table is off and we're shoving it into a corner in Christina's room. Sorry, Christina...we'll help you move it...maybe. Probably not.

Here comes another black out. (Who knew it was possible to black out from excitement!?)

The mustard door is now screwed onto the legs of the old dining room table and mason jars are carefully arranged on its surface. WE HAVE A NEW DINING ROOM TABLE....WHAT?! Who did this?? #donttellchad
