Antiquing in the Fingerlakes

After work and walking the dogs, we took the Land Rover out for a spin around Cayuga Lake and decided to stop in at the Ithaca Antique Mall, a prime destination which was even featured on American Pickers. This place is a Junk Yard Dog's dream!!!

We walked away with a great deal: a mustard door from the 1920s, a white military trunk, an industrial lamp base and a white cast iron stool, among other treasures.

RYE AND JAMIE ARE JUST AS EXCITED ABOUT THIS STOOL AS WE ARE!!

After the successful trip to Ithaca Antique Mall, we thought we'd try our luck at a local bargaining shop (better described as a rundown warehouse...) in downtown Ithaca: Boris's Buy and Sell. Wow. Help. Brodie was terrified... We found some great crates outside (We were a little scared to go indoors. Boris was not a nice man). We asked Boris what the prices were, and he looked us up and down and said 40 dollars for a box. We ran the opposite direction pretty quickly. Sorry Boris, we won't be back anytime soon!!
